Video of Dubai

Here is an awesome video that shows the future plans for development and the current projects currently taking place in Dubai.

Day 1 - Arrival at the Airport

I arrived at the airport and greeted by Marhaba people whose job is to facilitate my arrival to Dubai. Certainly it was arranged by my lovely nephew who lives overthere with his lovely wife . I just touched the airport as my name was written on the Arrival Board, walked out of my turminal and saw a very well dressed lady in a specific orange coloured uniform, also known as Marhaba People or welcomers (Marhaba means Hello). This person greeted me and walked with me while she directed me to my first destination. She was very cheerful and welcoming and asked me about my last trip from Cyprus. After 15 minutes of walking around Dubai Airport (the central Hub of the Middle east and Asia), we arrived to the Immigrtation section where I saw no one in front of me. This meant no long, queued lines and so there was definiately no waiting. However, I did look around and saw that other people were in long queues (Transit)! It took a few seconds to have my passeport stamped by a nice lady wearing a black Hijab who welcomed and smiled at me and she said to me she'd like to visit Australia (she knew I came from Australia because of my passport). And so we continued, with my personal guide, walking towards a caroussel so I could get my luggage and to my surprise another person was waiting for me to carry my bags and luggage and carry them around for me. I asked the lady if I could take over and push the luggage myself but she said NO immediately. She said that this it is their job to walk and guide me and for the gentleman to push my trolley untill I was to meet with my nephew. What a wondrful  service! For only a few dollars, I'd have the best personale to take to my nephew personally who was waiting for me at their arrival salon. The best part of this "guide" around Dubai Airport was to see my nephew after 22 years!!!
